This is a highly practical course that introduces students to the world of technical diving, and is therefore an introductory course to Extended Range courses. The objective of this course is to familiarize students with technical configurations, namely the use of a bis with an isolator and a Hogarthian configuration. This course at Submersus is taught according to a DIR philosophy. The course is usually given over 4 days.
The course can be taken in a mono configuration by recreational divers, while technical divers take the course with a double rig.
This course focuses on fundamental skills, including the theory and practical application of buoyancy, trim, teamwork, rescue skills, Nitrox, breathing gases, gas consumption, dive planning, equipment setup, decompression theory, and much more. In this course, students will benefit from training methods unique in the world of diving.
